Working with Google on Gemini was not a typical design engagement. It sat at the intersection of artificial intelligence, product design, and human judgment, where the goal was not to design screens, but to influence how an AI system understands UI/UX principles, product thinking, and user behavior.
Design
The approach to this project was rooted in applying a consistent and structured evaluation framework to every AI-generated response. Each output was analyzed through the lens of user experience strategy, product usability, and implementation feasibility, ensuring that the feedback provided was both comprehensive and actionable. Rather than focusing solely on correctness, the evaluation emphasized depth of thinking. This included assessing whether the response accounted for user behavior, whether it aligned with business goals, and whether the suggested solutions could realistically be implemented in a digital product. By introducing this multi-layered evaluation process, the project established a strong foundation for improving AI-driven UX decision-making.
