Hungama is one of India's leading music and video streaming platforms. The goal was to create a high-performance entertainment product that simplified content discovery, increased premium conversions, and provided a consistent experience across every screen.
Challenges & Solutions
Problem
Hungama offered music, movies, podcasts, and premium content across multiple platforms, but the experience lacked consistency. Navigation was cluttered, content discovery required too many steps, and design components were recreated repeatedly, slowing product development and creating friction for users.
Solution
We rebuilt the platform with a unified UX strategy and scalable design system. The new experience simplified navigation, improved search and recommendations, and introduced reusable components that enabled faster releases while maintaining a consistent entertainment experience across web and mobile.
Process
Wireframes
Low-fidelity wireframes were created to define core flows including onboarding, home feed, search, player experience, watch screens, and subscription checkout. These wireframes established structure and interaction logic before moving into visual design.
Mood board
Our mood board was inspired by the energy and diversity of digital entertainment. We combined vibrant visuals, cinematic dark tones, bold typography, and immersive content layouts to reflect the world of music, movies, podcasts, and gaming. The visual direction captures excitement, discovery, and premium entertainment while reinforcing Hungama’s modern and dynamic brand identity.
Design
The design process focused on transforming complex entertainment experiences into intuitive and engaging interfaces. We created structured layouts that prioritized content discovery, personalized recommendations, and seamless playback. Every screen was carefully designed to balance rich media presentation with usability, ensuring users could effortlessly explore, stream, and subscribe across web and mobile platforms.

Before the redesign, Hungama's platform had inconsistent navigation, fragmented content discovery, and unclear subscription flows. Duplicate design components slowed development and created an uneven experience across web and mobile.
